Cindy Wiedmer

MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Design for me is fun and very enjoyable. Every project is like working a Rubik's Cube. Twisting, turning and fussing the design elements until they are perfectly lined up – the budget, the aesthetic, and the product sensibility when applied how it is being use. When all these come together, then I know the customer and I have won The Design Game!

Prior to joining Great Floors, Cindy owned and designed for JL Warren Interiors, a Spokane business, for 18 years. She is an Interior Design graduate, also certified in Commercial Interior Design.

Design affiliations include five terms on the Spokane Falls Community College Advisory Board for Interior Design and as an associate member of ASID and NWSID. She is currently a member of NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association).

Career highlights include Published Designs in Spokane Coeur d' Alene Living Magazine and a project showcased on the HGTV program, Bang for Your Buck.

Design specialties include Kitchen and Bath Design with an extensive background in commercial restaurant design.

MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

My biggest reward is when my client tells me I have "captured their essence"! My favorite challenge is to pull together disjointed spaces and their components to make each space cohesive, aesthetically pleasing, and comfortable while creating an easy moment and transition between individual spaces, yet establishing flow and unity for the whole.
My goal is to work with what we have as much as possible. My design philosophy is to strive to create timeless yet exciting living and working spaces.

Working in the construction/remodel/design industry since 1978, Janet started her career in Kitchen and Bath remodel industry. Founding partner of DESIGN WORKS, with Marcea Seimears in 1985. Specialized in custom new construction for over 20 years. Most recently in Phoenix, AZ.
Accreditation in Architectural Drafting and Design. Interior Design is a "fashion" and "style" industry.

MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:

True success in any design stands the test of time. Craftsman, Baroque, Rococo, Traditional, Art Nouveau, Liberty, Modernism. Timeless design styles hold their ground. Today, there is more available design material options than ever before. It allows trends to change rapidly yet remaining fashionable, unique and personal to the individual it's created for. While being less iconic of a particular time era, the barriers once held by strict fashion have crumbled allowing a worldwide influence. What inspires you? Your stay at that ultra modern penthouse, a trip to Paris, maybe that weekend you spent on the cape? I find pleasure in maintaining the character of the owner with a matched enthusiasm for the objects of their desire. How it identifies them and who they are. As a fifth generation designer, a family background stemming from European fashion, with education immersed in world travel and culture that continues today, I can guide your vision. Meanwhile, staying connected to the Southwest and the east coast markets keeps a steady pulse on the changing horizon line.

What do you find inspiring? Your essence expressed thoughcolors, textures, nuances. I look forward to making your inspirations come to life.
