How Sheet Vinyl is made
Sheet vinyl is not as complicated in its makeup as LVT and LVP. Each sheet is made up of three components: felt paper on the bottom, vinyl foam in the middle, and a protective vinyl layer on top. It is made of materials like PVC, calcium carbonate, and wood pulp. Glossy sheets will have a polyurethane coating. To give the sheets texture, chemical embossing is used.
Types of Sheet Vinyl flooring
Sheet Vinyl flooring is available in a few different forms. LVT/LVP tile, or LVT, mimics the look of genuine stone or tile. It can even be installed with real grout. LVT/LVP plank, or LVP, imitates genuine hardwood flooring in near-identical textures. Sheet vinyl comes in a single, easy-to-install sheet. It is the most budget-friendly vinyl option.
Sheet Vinyl care & maintenance
Sheet vinyl is waterproof, durable, and easy to maintain, but it does require a few simple care steps.
